Pumpkin Art at the Book Mill

We have been all about carving pumpkins this October at Over the Mountain Book Mill. We found a lot of pumpkins and squash growing in our compost pile so we decided it was the perfect opportunity to make some biodegradable art Patrick especially loved the smooth surface of the butternut squash for carving. He used wood carving tools to get those great details. This got us thinking of ideas for a Halloween children’s book that is illustrated on carved pumpkins! It won’t be ready for this year but look for it when next October rolls around. For now enjoy our carved creations from the Phelan farm.
